Junction, the seat of Piute County, is a town of about 180 people near the confluence of the East Fork and the Sevier River. The town in on the junction of US89 and State Route 153 (Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway).

The town was founded in 1880 as City Creek and boomed a bit during mineral rushes of the early 1900s before settling to current population levels.

Nearby attractions include the Piute Reservoir and Tuschar Mountains.
